Luke 4:14-15

¹⁴ Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. ¹⁵ And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.

Commentary

Having then overcome the devil’s temptations by the Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ now returns from the wilderness in the Power of the Spirit to Galilee. Where news of Him went out through all the surrounding region (vs. 14). Jesus then was teaching in all their synagogues (places of worship very similar to our local churches). It was here then that the Lord Jesus Christ brought the Scriptures to life, where people saw and heard in Him, and in Him they found something so much more significant and soul satisfying then when only Moses and the Law was taught. Jesus then was glorified by all, not just for His Word, His Wisdom, and His Understanding of the Scriptures, but in Him and through Him, people had and felt a genuine connection with God in heaven.
