Luke 22:63–65

63 Now the men who held Jesus mocked Him and beat Him. 64 And having blindfolded Him, they struck Him on the face and asked Him, saying, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck You?” 65 And many other things they blasphemously spoke against Him.

Commentary
The scene now shifts to when Jesus is in the in the hands of his captors. Its a disgraceful and humiliating scene there, for they begin to play sport with Him, to cruelly abuse and blasphemy Him in many different ways because He is soon to be condemned to death.

Scripture Quotations
New King James Version (1982): Thomas Nelson.
